ek hawa ka aisa jhonka aaya
woh ziddi ped bhi lehlahaya

pehli baar hawa se baatein karne ko
uska mann bhi lalchaaya

na jhuki kabhi jiski ek bhi daali
woh jhukne se khud ko rok na paaya

likhi nahi gayi yeh prem kahaani
kyunki is prem ko sansaar samajh na paaya

(written when I heard the story of Hanuman and Benjakayi from the Thai version of the Ramayana, where Hanuman falls in love with and pursues the demon princess Benjakayi, a story which came as a pleasant surprise after I had spent all my life hearing about a celibate Hanuman in the Indian versions of the Ramayana)

Peaceful Infinity

Are you an obstruction in my way?
Or are you a challenge I can scale?
Oh great green mountain, although you take away infinity from me,
You bring me bliss today.

Your calm waters calm me down,
Telling me everything will be alright.
You are like a mother with open arms
Calling out to a child.
Wherever I want to go you promise to take me
You only ask me to trust you completely.
Your vastness makes everything seem like a possibility
Oh great blue sea you make me feel like i know infinity.
